Recreation within drinking water catchments

The Department of Water and Environmental Regulations has released the updated Operational Policy 13: Recreation within public drinking water source areas on Crown land which is intended to protect drinking water quality and public health by managing recreation in public drinking water source areas on Crown land. The updated policy follows public consultations and submissions on an earlier draft update which was released in June 2018.

BWA has advocated strongly over many years on the various water catchment access issues including in our submission of July 2018.
